On Blond, contemporary jazz super-star Chris Standring and Mary Cassidy (formerly of Agnes on Island Records) team up to produce something very Vogue, very British. Ultimately, Blond is London style as interpreted through a Hollywood prism: grungy glam guitars meet dance beats; artistic tension gets dressed up as dramatic pop. Several tracks feature co-writes and perfomances with Gary Clark who has written with Natalie Imbruglia and Liz Phair (to name a few).
